Economic growth rates in Russia were not only higher than internal forecasts, but also exceeded world indicators, the president said. “This, of course, is, in the first place, the result of the work of labor groups, commercial communities and, of course, the government, financial authorities in the broad sense of the word,” Putin said. But he added that in 2025 the government needs to reach the trajectory of balanced economic growth and reduce inflation.

Putin believes that the current level of inflation is a call to Russia. Inflation according to the results of 2024 amounted to 9.5%, and for February 3 it reached 9.9%, the president recalled.

Mishustin said the annual inflation rate is reduced during the sixth consecutive month. However, he also considers that current prices are a challenge. “But the aggregate measures taken today in monetary policy have already begun to stop the loans of the economy,” said the prime minister.

According to Rostat, inflation from January 28 to February 3 amounted to 0.16%, decreasing the decrease of 0.4 percentage points. According to the Ministry of Economic Development, inflation in the country in annual terms slowed up to 9.92% against 9.95% of the week before.

The Central Bank predicts in inflation of 2025 in the range of 4.5-5%.
