At the time of publication (13:31), the dollar quoted at 94.37 rubles, cheaper for the previous closure of 2.13 rubles. The euro quoted 97.89 rubles, cheaper for 2.1 rubles.

Previously, the Central Bank set the dollar on Wednesday, February 12 for an amount of 95.8 Rublos, the Euro – 99.1 Rublos.

According to the chief economist of the expert rating agency, Anton Tabakh, the weakening of the dollar to the ruble is caused by high export prices, established at the end of last year. Alfa Capital Analyst analyst Alina Pptsova, added that the ruble could be strengthened due to the greater demand for rubleing of ruble “for January tax payments, as well as the accumulation of funds in Yuan in the context of the New Year Chino “, which stands out from the end of January to mid -February.

But in the formation of negative news, the course can return to 100 rubles, said Denis Popov, an expert in management of the PSB analysis and experience center. Pptsova also believes that in the coming months the course will return to the range of 100-105 rubles per dollar.

On January 21, the dollar in the Forex currency market for the first time in 2025 fell below 100 rubles. At least during the last day, the US currency cost 99.4 rubles.

Before this, Financial Times reported that at the beginning of January the US currency reached a maximum of two years in relation to world coins, increasing the registration since November 2022.
