Megafon increased the cost of mobile communications by 20% and changed the terms of tariffs, Vdomosti reports. The messages about the increase in the cost of services began to reach Megafon customers at the end of January at the beginning of February.

In particular, the subscriber of the Sverdlovsk region arrived a message about the increase in the price of mobile communications in the personal rate from February 1 and 21%to 667.2 rubles. The newspaper clarifies that the message “caused the discontent of the subscriber”, since it believes that the operator changed the terms of the rate unilaterally.

As of February 12, the “Talk!” Increase in the cost of the personal rate, since the cost of mobile communications will increase by 20% and 18%, to 795 and 696.2 Rublos, respectively.

Other operator services, including megakino online cinema, also increase in the price, the blacklist for unwanted contacts, the service “I know who calls most”, “replace Budwak” and the SMS filter service.

Megafon’s press service did not answer questions about the increase in prices, but said the company “carefully monitors the peculiarities of communication services” and “offers new services and products, including individual consumption profiles.”

The operator’s representative added that subscribers can maintain previous conditions in rejecting the changes. However, this must be done up to a certain date, after which the increase in the price will enter into force.

The Federal Anti -Ponopolio Service (FAS) told Vdomosti that they did not receive information on the increase in megafon prices. “Given the social importance of the price level in the corresponding market, the department sent a request to the company. The service will analyze the economic viability of increasing tariffs and, if there are reasons, it will take antimonopoly response measures, ”said the FAS representative.

Previously, in October, daily telecommunications analysts found that almost half of Russian telecommunications operators plan to increase tariffs by 10-15% in 2025, and their fifth part is preparing to increase prices by 20% or more.
