The director of the MTS Protective Product Andrei Biychuk announced another News RIA scheme. Often, the scammers began to call, presenting themselves as technical specialists of a known company, a developer or antivirus messenger.
Potential victims report that suspicious activity is observed on their devices, it is necessary to verify the safety of personal data and for leak prevention, they are asked to establish a “protective” application.
In the same way it becomes a malicious software source, which gives access to the victim’s smartphone or tablet. The reason to trust the person calling in this scheme is that traditional SMS codes do not request and even mimic the remote access of a technical specialist to the client’s device.
The expert convincingly asks citizens who do not include a screen demonstration at the other end of the cable and do not install any application. Any call of an unknown number must be restored. If there are doubts, you can always return to the technical support service of a particular company.
