The European Union disconnected 13 Russian banks from the rapid payment system as part of the 16th package of sanctions against Russia. This is established in the declaration on the website of the European Commission.

The names of the banks are not revealed. The document establishes that we are talking about “regional banks that are considered important for Russian financial and banking systems.”
- The EU also prohibited transactions for credit or financial organizations from third countries that use the Financial Message Transmission System (SPF) of Russia Bank, the National Swift National Analogue.
- Eight Russian media are also sanctions: Eadily / Eurasia Daily, Fondsk, Slow, Newsfront, Rubaltic, Southfront, Strategic Culture Foundation and Red Star. They will no longer be able to transmit in the EU territory, but their employees can carry out professional activities in European countries.
- Brussels expanded the list of prohibited goods for Russia. In particular, it included video game controllers, which, according to European officials, are used to administer drones. Previously, it was a prohibition of delivering the supply of Xbox and PlayStation to Russia.
