According to Bloomberg, Trump said Apple has stopped plans for the construction of two plants in Mexico, and instead it would produce products in the United States. He claimed that Apple took this step to avoid extra tariffs.
Apple’s main -making partner, Foxconn, has a strong presence in Mexico and expands its activities there. However, Apple is still relying on Chinese factories in the production of iPhone.
Although there is no official statement from Apple, it remains unclear which part of the production will really be transferred to the United States.
