The Wordle Phenomenon Will Be A Physical Board Game, after its huge success on the Internet. The news was announced by the newspaper itself. New York Timeswhich purchased the game and will make the physical version in partnership with the toy manufacturer Hasbro.

The board version of the game is made for group play, unlike the original version, which can only be played alone. In the “Table Word” the hidden word is defined by a game server, so two or more players try to guess it, getting clues of the correct letters in the right place or the correct letters in the wrong place – as in the virtual version.

The game works with minus points. The longer you take to get it right, the more points you get, and the one with the fewest points in the end wins.

It is interesting to note that the original Wordle itself was once inspired by board games. Now, with the physical version of the game, the cycle is complete. The Wordle board hit shelves in October, but is currently available for pre-order in the United States at a suggested retail price of R$20 (R$109).
