Kalnins, a teacher at the Faculty of Bremen University of Aerospace and former General Manager of OHB Cosmos, has already cooperated with RFA. Its purpose is associated with the company’s focus of technical progress after a unsuccessful static test of the first stage of RFA One in August 2024, when the rocket was destroyed. In 2025, RFA was preparing to re -accept its first orbit launch from the Cosmodrome Saxavord on Setland Islands and received a license for 10 launch annually.
Previously working in Google and McKinsey, Tver was chosen to manage a new look outside the space industry. Now RFA bets on Kalnins’s technical review. Supported by OHB, the company aims to retreat to low orbit up to 1300 kg.
