HIV’s ability to produce KNA allows not only the virus to be fixed, but also to contribute to its stability by continuing in the body. Differences in CRNK levels in different people can explain the differences in the infection.
Scientists believe that the understanding of this mechanism can lead to the development of new therapeutic strategies aiming to combat HIV without a direct impact on the immune system that will develop new approaches against the virus.
