Researchers are investigating how body tissues change under the influence of excessive glucose. Glycing with diabetes occurs – a process in which sugar depends on proteins and lipids. This makes the fabrics more dense and complicates metabolism. Scientists measure the rate of penetrating molecules to the fabric. This indicator helps to determine the degree of glucation, that is, how tissues are affected by diabetes.
