In March, Ehang has become the first company to get an official permission for the operation of autonomous passenger drones from the Civil Aviation Civil Aviation Department, along with the Aviation Partner of the electric melting and seating devices (EVTOL) and in March.
Now the company is running test flights to Guangzhou and Hefei and collects data to prepare services in these cities until the end of the year. The drone of the EH216-S model, which receives the certificate, can carry two people at a speed of up to 130 km/h at 30 kilometers.
Ehang also shows interest in foreign markets. According to company representatives, there is already a demand for such technologies in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Latin American countries. For example, in Thailand, the possibility of starting aerotax in specially determined areas is discussed after the first passenger flight in Bangkok in November.
