Russian scientists from the Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences developed a new type of material that could shine under the influence of different factors. This material, which is called phosphorus, is created on the basis of quantum points from India, which he attaches to manganese. With this structure, light properties can be easily adjusted. The study was published in High Energy Chemical Scientific Journal.
The new material can shine in three ways: fast (fluorescent), slowly (phosphorus) and in a special, slow mode (slow fluorescent). Scientists have announced that the addition of manganese has a special effect when the light continued longer than usual. This feature makes the material particularly interesting for the development of technologies that can work more efficiently with light.
It can be useful in different fields such as development, energy, medicine or information protection. Scientists also stated that the materials are very suitable for work on complex devices where energy transmission is required among the elements. They believe that the opening will help create completely new technologies to work with light.
