As part of a new study, experts examined information from a large health project called Truxelag Health (Hunt) in Norway. Scientists predicted more than 56,000 people in total. During the study, Hunt4 31,295 Participants wore two small devices to monitor movement movement (physical activity) for a week – accelerations. Experts thought how much time volunteers spend every day and the intensity of this walk.
According to the results of the analysis, people who go more every day have less risk of developing chronic low back pain. Those who walked at least 78 minutes every day had less chance of developing low back pain, and the greatest benefit was observed among those who went to 125 minutes or more: The probability of encountering back pain was 23%lower than those who walked 78 minutes a day.
The effect of the walk was more powerful and more consistent in people aged 65 years and older than young people. Walking at a faster or higher density led to similar advantages. These results were not different depending on gender or age.
