It has been reported that before the innovation was introduced, GRFC experts had to manually search for such content. This system uses neural networks for these purposes. With their help, it analyzes photos, videos and texts on websites, social networks and instant messengers.

The project was developed by Excitation HDC experts. Oculus testing began in December 2022, and the integration of other tracking tools available to Roskomnadzor is already in 2023.

RKN noted that the system is already fully operational and detects violations of the law in images and videos. At the same time, the regulator did not release any data on the test results of the project or the first results of its work.

It is known that in August 2022 about 60 million rubles were allocated for the development of Oculus.
