The development of the engine was dealt with the Ural Civil Aviation Facility. During the tests, experts checked the motor operation in different modes. The flight itself lasted a little more than 15 minutes. The height was up to 700 meters and a maximum speed was 340 kilometers per hour.

According to test engineers, the VK-800 showed the stable operation of all systems and served without a fault. The data obtained will now be used to go to the next stage – certificate tests and preparation for mass production.

The new VK-800 engine is planned to be installed on the LMS-901 Baikal Light multi-purpose aircraft.
