The driver George McGi checked Tesla Model S while autopilot is open. To find the phone, the attention scattered and the car fell to a parked black SUV at a speed of more than 80 km/h. A 22 -year -old student near the car had Nyelbel Benavides and her boyfriend. The girl died and the young man got serious injuries.

The court admitted that MCGI was 2/3 responsibility and Tesla – 1/3 for the incident. This is because the autopilot does not work and does not brake on the intersection, which led to a tragedy.

Family lawyer Tesla said that the autop pilot knew that he was only safe on high -speed tracks, but also did not limit its use on other ways. Moreover, Elon Musk claimed that the autop pilot was “better leading to people”.

Tesla stated that he would decide the court decision and that he would call it the decision and “harmful to the development of security technologies”.
