The sea ice area in the North Pole does not decrease as fast as scientists have expected before. However, this slowdown may be temporary and does not affect the tendency to disappear of ice masses.

According to the study, the decrease in the sea ice area was minimized – a loss was predicted before. However, in the last 20 years, melting has slowed down significantly.

Experts associate this with the natural vibrations of ocean currents. These fluctuations regulate the amount of warm water in the North Arctic Ocean, which slows the melting process.

However, despite this, scientists do not rush to rejoice, because a large number of diagonal work shows that there is a temporary slowdown in the arctic melting. Therefore, experts warn that climate change and global warming are real threats. In the future, for the first time in history, the North Arctic Ocean can completely recover itself from ice and this is dangerous for life in the world.
