The new system can be used to protect military bases or borders as well as an air defense system. The Falcon is based on a single-axle trailer equipped with a remote-controlled weapon station. It is armed with a 40mm MK19 Mod 3 grenade launcher capable of firing 40mm ATOM ammunition. The complex also has target detection and tracking systems that can operate in all weather conditions day and night.
ATOM is a 40 mm high-speed air-explosive grenade developed by Aselsan. Once fired, the timed fuse initiates a countdown to detonate at the intended target.
