In a new study, a team of scientists evaluated the impact of the food system on human health and the environment. Experts concluded that food production threatens five world systems. These include climate, soil, water, nitrogen and phosphorus pollution, as well as anthropogenic pollution (insecticides and microplastic). If everyone on the planet had a healthy diet, we could bring these systems to safe levels and improve the life of humanity.
