Sling TV is one of the best TV streaming options in the US. Perhaps its best argument is that it comes very close to what we might call “a la carte television”, which is the ability to choose your own channels. Do you know exactly how it works? In the next guide, we will explain everything you need to know about Sling TVso you can evaluate whether it is worth hiring.
Sling TV has two plans: Sling Orange and Sling Blue. Each costs $35 per month. Orange offers 32 channels with a more sporty focus, Blue offers you 42 signals with a focus on current events and entertainment. While you can hire both for $50 a month, you should consider that some seasons are repeating, so you’ll end up with less than what’s listed in the amount.

Sling TV price
The base price of Sling TV is $35/month for Sling Orange or Sling Blue, or $50/month for both. This is the minimum and most economical considering the number of channels involved. But while it has a lower starting offer than its competitors, it does have a range of add-ons to improve your experience.
All extras range from $6 to $11 per month. In addition, you will find premium channels, also for an additional fee of $3 to $10 per month. While some correspond to a single signal, others include several, as does all of Showtime.
Sling TV Free Trial
Like other streaming services, you have a free trial. But on Sling TV, it’s only limited to three days, although that means you can get access to a longer trial period as part of a promotion. Although this is a short time, it is enough to decide whether Sling TV is right for you or not.

local channels
While Fox and NBC are available in some markets as part of Sling Blue, you won’t be signing up, meaning the networks and their local affiliates. However, Sling TV does support AirTV, a streaming tuner that connects you to an antenna over the air.
This feature puts local channels in your Sling TV on-screen guide so everything is in one place. It is very useful. It also does this through your home wireless network, so you can watch on all your Sling-enabled devices, not just your TV.
Of course, broadcasting all local channels is not as easy as it is with other services. Plus, it’s an additional cost, plus the cost of setting everything up.
Sling TV DVR Storage Display
Sling TV comes with 50 hours of free cloud storage, no matter which plan you choose. This feature is called “DVR Free”. While it’s better than nothing, it’s a far cry from unlimited free YouTube TV recording.
If 50 hours isn’t enough, you can upgrade to “DVR Plus” which gives you 200 hours for $5 a month.
Both alternatives allow you to quickly view commercials and can protect the recording from being automatically deleted. Any restrictions? You cannot record anything on ESPN3, ACC Network Extra, SEC Network+, or Local Now.
international channels
Sling TV also has many international options. We’re not just talking about the same channels in other languages, but separate packages that bring you the best content.
Channels from India, for example, include Hindi, Urdu, Bangla, Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. In addition, there is a separate cricket-only package. There are also video-on-demand services from Voot, Desi Binge, Sonyliv, MXONE, and Eros Now.
European variants include French, German, Greek, Italian and Polish. The East Asian ranking includes Cantonese, Mandarin and Taiwanese.
Where to watch Sling TV
You can watch Sling TV on your phone or web browser. It’s also available on Xbox Series S and Series X, the Meta (formerly Oculus) VR platform, TIVO Stream devices, and Facebook Portal devices.
