According to members of the series’ official subreddit, the game is completely saved to disk and does not require additional downloads to launch both the campaign and the multiplayer mode.

This is a rarity in an industry where most versions require tens of gigabytes of updates on release day. Moreover, multiplayer servers are already active and owners of the first copies can play without restrictions.

Experts characterize the decision to place all content on disk as a sign that special attention is paid to the technical aspect of the project. Optimization promises stable operation even on Xbox Series S and minimal PC configurations.

According to Ampere Analysis, the number of pre-orders has already exceeded 1.7 million and sales of over 5 million copies are expected in the first week of release. Battlefield 6 will be released worldwide on October 10, 2025.
