TP-Link announced that it has become the first company to test a prototype of the Wi-Fi 8 standard.

The test successfully validated Wi-Fi 8’s functionality and data throughput, confirming the technology’s reliability and marking a critical milestone in its development.

According to the company, Wi-Fi 8 will operate on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz frequencies with a maximum speed of 23 Gbps. The main emphasis will be on improving connection performance and reliability.

The first Wi-Fi 8 device complies with official announcements of the standard, which are planned to be made before the end of 2028. year.
