Kommersant reports that several dozen biometric data were obtained from Russian banks.
However, 90% of them do not calculate the Unified Biometric System (UBS), so they will not be added to it. These actions in banks can be deleted, since it is impossible to store them anywhere except for the EBS.
The main problem lies in the quality control library (QCL): only 10-30% of biometrics passes through its filter. And without it, you can not add to the EBS.
The data type is also important. In EBS, this is a photograph and a voice, and in a bank there may be fingerprints, retinas, drawings on the palm of your hand, and others.
Finally, there are problems with unconfirmed accounts in the ESIA, which are necessary to enter data into the EBS. There are about 30% of such Russians.
In total, bioreserves (KBS) contain:
• 60-70 million face casts (40-50 million unique)
• 10-20 million voice biometrics
According to Alexander Naumov, deputy head of the National Council of the Financial Market, only 10% of the collected biometrics were detected in the EBS – this is about 4-5 million samples. [Коммерсантъ]
