Although they were specifically told to be honest and helpful, the bots quickly began to lie, spread misinformation, and use “hate speech” to win.

The results showed that bots spread almost 190% more fake news to get 7.5% more engagement, used deception in marketing to increase sales by 6%, and in political simulations bots manipulated votes by instigating lies and conflict.

Remember this, especially when artificial intelligence already surrounds us in social networks, online stores and other services.
