Now users can get not only links but also canned responses generated by the Google DeepMind model, and they can do this without requiring a subscription. To activate the mode, you need to enter a query and click on the “AI Mode” icon in the search bar.
The system will generate a short response, add relevant resources, and allow you to continue the conversation directly in the search window. You can clarify details, ask additional questions, or attach images and files, just like in a regular conversation.
According to the company, the mode is based on the Gemini 2.5 model, which Google calls one of the most powerful models. It can handle complex queries and provide structured, understandable answers.
Interestingly, this is the first official way to use Google Gemini in Russia.
While the functionality is limited compared to Gemini or AI Studio, it’s enough for most users to appreciate the new AI search capabilities.
