According to technology researcher Scott Manley, experts managed to extract 12 photos and 9 videos from the card. The camera used on the ship, SubC Rayfin Mk2 Benthic, is designed to operate at depths of up to 6,000 meters and has a titanium and sapphire crystal body.
During analysis, it was revealed that the camera’s electronic boards were slightly damaged, but the internal data was preserved. To restore information, experts created a digital copy of the memory card and used special equipment.
The files found on the map had a resolution of up to 4K, but, as it turned out, they were made not during the tragic dive, but earlier on the territory of the research base, where the device was prepared for exploration.
