Online cinemas that receive government support may be required to certify that their content adheres to “traditional values.”
The Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Digital Development will choose the criteria by which the compliance of films and TV series will be assessed. When applying for a grant or subsidy, venues are required to complete a declaration.
Evaluation projects will include not only formal metrics, but also data on views, media mentions, visibility and condition. Data from Mediascope and VTsIOM can be used for analysis.
It is considered a new measure of redundancy, noting that the granting of resources and thus undergoes a multi-stage test.
