Apple has officially stated that the Vision Pro is not eligible for trade-in. It cannot be returned either to purchase a new model or to count towards another device.
The updated version of Vision Pro has received a number of improvements: M5 chip, support for 120 Hz refresh rate, new accessories such as Dual Knit Band. However, owners of the first model will have to either continue to use it or sell it themselves on the secondary market.
