The Bank of Russia announced the imminent departure of deputy Elvira Nabiullina Yuri Isaev. He will step down on August 1, officially “of his own free will.”

Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Yuri Isaev will step down

The press service of the regulator announced the dismissal of Yuri Isaev from the Bank of Russia.

The official statement says that Isaev resigns of his own free will. No other explanation is given for deputy Elvira Nabiullina’s departure from her position.

Yuri Isaev worked at the Bank of Russia for just over six months. In January, he entered the Central Bank, in April he received a seat on the board of directors. At the Central Bank, Isaev was curator of several areas of work, including the fight against the financing of terrorism, money laundering and the commission of unfair practices in the financial market.

In January, two vice presidents, Sergei Shvetsov and Dmitry Skobelkin, left the Bank of Russia. In June, Elvira Nabiullina’s deputy, Mikhail Alekseev, who was sanctioned, left the Central Bank.
