Google has a new set rules and policies Applicable in Play Store to protect users’ privacy and improve the usability of apps on Android in the next few months. Among the highlights, intrusive ads will be banned and fake apps that appear to be official will be removed from the Google Play Store more often.

Those who play small games on Android will notice the biggest change in banning intrusive ads. From September 30, 2022, apps will no longer be able to display full-screen ads “on the fly”. So before the game loads, when you click on a new level or randomly during the game.

The new rule also states that no full-screen ads will be allowed to last longer than 15 seconds before allowing the user to close – only the ads the user chooses to see in exchange for the in-game benefit.

Ban fake apps

Another major policy change is the ban on “fraudulent” apps that use names and logos similar to larger apps to be downloaded from the Play Store by unsuspecting users. From August 31, Google promises to go heavy with such apps.

The policy update also includes banning apps that spread health-related misinformation, pinpoint changes in VPN usage by apps, and introduce new settings for developers.
