X5 Group, the owner of Pyaterochka and Perekrestok food chains, has begun cooperation with ready-to-eat food and grocery delivery services SberMarket and Delivery Club. You can now order products from retail chains through aggregators, X5 said in a statement.
From August 1, Pyaterochka and Perekrestok orders are available to residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg. The stores are connected in stages: for the duration of the pilot, delivery will be available from several dozen stores; after the integration of IT systems, the coverage will grow to several thousand.
After that, the delivery geography will be expanded to the Moscow and Leningrad regions, and from September to other regions.
The prices and assortment in the aggregators are identical to the delivery conditions of the retail chain applications. Each service determines the cost, delivery time and minimum order amount independently.
All additional promotions and the ability to collect and redeem points under the X5 loyalty program are available to customers only on the retail chain apps.
