On August 8, 2022, applications will begin for the AgroCode Hack online hackathon and the AgroCode Data Science Cup student data science championship. The final will take place on September 16-18, 2022. Participants will compete for a fund of prizes of 1.4 million rubles.
AgroCode Hack participants have 40 hours to solve one of three technological tasks to choose from:

Rostselmash Group of Companies proposes to develop an algorithm for determining the limits of a truck body for a combine. The result should be a program that, for a test data package, provides the coordinates of the center point of the upper face of the body. More details – follow the link.

In the Agrointellect company task, participants must identify patterns in cow disease on farms and determine the most ineffective treatment protocols. Participants must develop an analytical model and provide the source code. More details – follow the link.

Terroir Concept’s task is grocery and is to develop a service for searching for promising land for growing grapes in the Krasnodar Territory. In this service, the user selects one or more existing vineyards, and on the map of the Krasnodar Territory, areas with territories of similar natural characteristics are highlighted. The user can influence the measure of “proximity” of the selected territories by choosing the permissible extent of the analyzed natural features. More details – follow the link.
Both teams of three to five people and individual participants can participate in the hackathon: frontend and backend developers, specialists in data science, ML and computer vision, and others from anywhere in Russia. A total of 30 teams will compete in the competition. You can apply until September 6, 2022 on the website.
The AgroCode Data Science Cup is designed for college students. The task of the participants of the championship will be to create a new feature for the agricultural market of b2b products “Svoe Farmerstvo”, that is, to implement a catalog search using photos of spare parts on the website; now there is no such function.
