Kaspian, the commander of the fire protection group of the Solntsepek flamethrower system, praised the weapon for its reliability and effectiveness. “It cannot be silenced, it cannot be reignited. It always works as it should. It does its best,” Caspian said, showing off his shotgun.

The fire support team that accompanies the vehicles on missions is equipped with special equipment to protect against night vision devices, firearms and drones, but Caspian’s statement emphasizes the simplicity and reliability of the 12-gauge shotgun in the field.

Despite this, Solntsepek systems are also equipped with electronic warfare (EW) systems that have proven to be highly effective against enemy drones.
