While it is not yet clear when desktop variants of AMD’s mobile Ryzen 6000 APUs will be released, rumors are already circulating about the next generation. According to RedGamingTech, the red team will significantly improve the performance of your igpus.
Phoenix uses up to 16, or even 24 cu, when the integrated Radeon 680M of the most powerful Rembrandt chips consists of 12 computing units with RDNA 2 architecture. In this generation, Zen 4 computing cores are expected to be coupled with an RDNA 2 igpu, but the use of RDNA 3 is not excluded. The first SKUs are expected early next year, a few months after the possible launch of the RDNA 3 desktop cards.
The leaker isn’t reporting exact performance figures, but this apus should offer an alternative to low-end video cards. Wccftech made an estimation that the igpu with 24 cu outperforms the Radeon RX 6500 XT. The 16 cu configuration would theoretically be slightly faster than the PS4 Pro and GTX 1060 (4,375 tflops). The latter is still the most popular video card in the Steam Hardware Survey.
