A feature that has not been on the iPhone interface for a long time due to “explosions” has reappeared. The battery percentage is shown as a number, but with a permanently charged battery icon.

According to some iPhone users, such a charging indicator is misleading, although it does not provide information. One critic of the feature was Wang Gaofei, CEO of the Chinese social network Weibo. “The battery appears to be constantly charging, which can be misleading,” the chairman said.

This feature works again on iPhone 12, 13, iPhone X, but is not supported on iPhone 12 and 13 mini, iPhone 11 and iPhone XR.
