IKEA has launched the process of liquidation of the legal entity “Ikea Dom” – it operates a retail network in Russia. The application has been submitted for registration in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

IKEA began to liquidate the Russian “daughter” “Ikea Dom”

“We have an orderly closing process and are currently reviewing the applications received. We do not comment on the ongoing negotiations,” the Ingka Centers press service told Vedomosti.

Lenders can file claims against the company within two months.

IKEA began downsizing its retail network in Russia in June. Then the company began to inform the landlords of shopping centers, where there are company stores and studios, about the intention to terminate the lease contracts earlier than planned.

It was about unilateral termination, which means heavy fines for IKEA.

On March 4, IKEA suspended the work of its stores in Russia amid a special operation in Ukraine and due to logistical problems. In mid-June, the company announced that it was looking for buyers for its four plants in Russia, as well as cutting staff and selling excess products.
