The Danish company X-Yachts, together with the Finnish company Oceanvolt, presented the world’s first yacht X4.9E, which can move not only under sail, but also by searching for a power plant (that is, a battery) and a diesel engine. In this case, in the first case, the battery is being charged.
Oceanvolt powered the x4.9e with two 10 watt 48 volt sd10 sail drives with lithium iron phosphate batteries. h, h
In order not to interrupt the exciting sea voyage, the captain had only to implement a Fisher Panda diesel generator with a power of 11 kW, which simultaneously started the drive motors and destroyed the rechargeable battery, which as a result took a little more than an hour and a half.

With a good tailwind under sail, this will not be planned, as the propellers begin to rotate on the move, turning into electrical generators. In this mode, they operate up to 3.5 kW of energy, which allows you to fully charge the VS. Approximately the same time it will take to recharge from a power source on the shore.
Since June, X-Yachts has begun full-scale testing of the X4.9E. The price is still unknown, but it is obvious that we will talk about a six-figure figure in dollars.
