One of the 7 wonders of the world to be Iguazu Falls between Argentina and Brazil. They offer spectacular views from both Brazil and Argentina, ideal to visit between November and January. They are the largest of the existing waterfalls. 275 waterfalls with a height of up to 80 meters. They arise from the merging of the Iguazù rivers in Argentina and Paranà in Brazil. The best side to observe them is the Argentine and then continue to the Brazilian coast, really captivating.
The region in which the falls are located is formed by a succession of basaltic lava flows that occurred in the Cretaceous Period, with spills mainly occurring between 134 and 132 million years ago. The lava covered an area of 1,200,000 square kilometers, in an area stretching between Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. Large fractures have formed in the basalt; one is the Iguazu Gorge, where the river flows itself after the falls and continues to the point where the Paraná River flows in. The Iguazú River was formed after the climate changed from dry and cold to humid and hot about 20,000 years ago: a regular rainfall regime was established and the abundant water flowing from the basin formed the Iguazú. This, with increasing water volume, gradually changed course until it reached an imposing geological rift in the basalt rock: this is how the falls were formed and the river flowed into that narrow gorge.

One of the viewpoints of the falls is the Garganta del Diablo, the deepest and largest. It can be reached from both the upper and lower path and experiences a surprising emotion. The falls are located 1,400 km from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The most recommended means are by plane, bus, train or car.
