A recent study by experts from the University of Oslo showed that a lifestyle in which a person has high cholesterol levels increases the risk of Alzheimer’s disease in old age. At the same time, it seems, the problem inherited even those with high cholesterol levels.

Now it turns out that neither cholesterol itself nor taking statins to lower it are associated with dementia. An important role in the formation of senile dementia is played by an unhealthy lifestyle, which increases its level.

At least, that’s what 10 years of observations of the health of 3,500 people with this disease show.
