Only Fans has announced that it will no longer allow Russian users to use its platform. The platform dedicated to adult content explained that it did not take the decision lightly and that it was in fact forced to exclude Russian users because of the sanctions imposed. to make payments to and from Russia almost impossible.

Over the past few months, we’ve been trying to explore several potential solutions to continue providing our services to content creators affected by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. However, given the recent new push for payments to and from Russia, OnlyFans will no longer be able to continue to serve the community of content creators living in the country. As a result, we will temporarily suspend all accounts receiving payments from banks in Russia. Users affected by the problem can contact our customer service and we will try to help them or at least answer their requests about the status of the account.

reads a press release from the Vice site’s platform.

In February, after theRussian invasion of Ukraine, OnlyFans had immediately blocked the content creators registered in Russia. The users had received an ad hoc message explaining the reasons for the measure. However, a few hours after the message was sent, Onlyfans sent a second message to reassure Russian users and explain that the company had managed to find an interim solution.

Now another U-turn and this time it looks like there will be no back steps. Not until sanctions against Russia are lifted.
