In Russia, it was proposed to create a unified register of consents to the processing of personal data that citizens have ever given. Through this registry, it would be possible to centrally control who has the right to process the data and which ones, as well as revoke the consent for it.
The initiative to create the registry was taken by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation.
This registry could become a centralized portal where Russians could keep track of who, what, and when they allowed their personal data to be processed. It would also be possible to revoke consent for treatment using this registry through the State Services portal, where it could be integrated.
Earlier, the ministry started launching a service in the State Services to verify identity in ordinary situations, for example, when shopping in a store, using the right to travel for free, or visiting malls with a pass system.
