It is reported that the pathogen is very similar to the polio virus but also presents in a mild form. Interestingly, this is not the first “appearance” of the virus – it was previously recorded in zebra mice in Kenya in 2016 and 2019.

From there the microorganism went to a center in Wuhan for research.

Scientists say the effects of the virus on humans need to be investigated further. It is currently unknown how contagious and pathogenic it is. It is quite possible that there is nothing to worry about.
