Apple’s current version of the indicator looks like a regular battery icon (no percentage) that visually shows how much power is left in the phone. This was first introduced on the iPhone X due to space constraints caused by the notch, forcing the Control Center to open to see the exact percentage.

But since the iPhone 14 Pro is said to replace the notch with two separate cutouts, this should allow for the battery icon and percentage full.

Whatever Apple has planned, we won’t have to wait long to find out. Apple’s Far Out event is only a few days away, on September 7.
