Microsoft has already released Windows 11 KB5012643 as an optional update for operating system users. While no major new features are being rolled out, the update offers a preview of what to expect from the first May 2022 Patch Tuesdays. KB5012643 can be found through Windows Updates by checking for new updates or manually downloading the installation file from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

Among other things, the latest update fixes a bug that caused the subtitles of videos to be partially displayed or otherwise mispositioned. Also, the Secure Boot module has been simplified to maintain, fixed a bug where users could no longer turn off the screen, and fixed a memory leak when systems were left on 24/7. The only feature update is regarding the taskbar, where as of now the current temperature can be displayed above the weather icon.
