Samsung has announced the T7 Shield, the latest and most robust SSD of the T7 series. The storage drive is roughly the size of a bank card (albeit slightly thicker) and can withstand water a little and completely dust thanks to its IP65 certification. The storage pass can also withstand a maximum drop of 3 meters. T7 Shield is available in two versions, 1 TB version for 170 Euros and 2 TB version for 320 Euros.

The SSD uses the USB 3.2 Gen2 standard via a USB-C connection. T7 Shield has sequential read and write speeds of 1050 and 1000 MB/s, respectively. The whole is just 88 x 59 x 13 millimeters in size and weighs 89 grams. Users can encrypt data on SSD via Samsung Magician. This is done with 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard encryption.
