One of the main new features of the iPhone 14 Pro is the Dynamic Island cutout, an area around the front camera with a pop-up notification system and support for iOS apps. Apparently, the updated “bangs” can also appear on smartphones from other brands, including Redmi from the Chinese company Xiaomi.
According to MyDrivers, the head of Redmi Lu Weibing reacted to a message from a social media user about the need for a Dynamic Island analogue to appear in the future Redmi K60 flagship.
“Do you really need Dynamic Island on Redmi K60?” Weibing wrote. Perhaps the executive of the Chinese brand is considering adding an interactive notch to future Redmi models.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer announces the Redmi K60 series in the first quarter of 2023.
Earlier, MyDrivers reported that a developer by the nickname of Mu Ye created a theme for Xiaomi smartphones with core support similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island.
Dynamic Island is Apple’s proprietary technology. As Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman said on Twitter, the US corporation registered a trademark in Jamaica on July 12.
