According to him, Moore’s law, which assumes a standard in which the number of transistors on a chip doubles every two years, is “dead”. Manufacturers will neither be able to sustain sufficient innovation nor keep prices low.
Huang criticized experts and users who promised cheaper graphics cards or considered price increases unreasonable due to falling consumer demand.
“Moore’s law’s ability to provide twice as much performance at the same cost or the same performance has come to an end. For this reason, the idea that chips will get cheaper over time is unfortunately a thing of the past.”
