Foreign labels continue to withdraw their catalogs from Russian streaming services, Kommersant writes.
Following the departure of Sony Music, the British label WARP began deleting its tracks from Yandex.Music and VKontakte Music.
In particular, the songs of Aphex Twin, Autechre, Boards Of Canada, Flying Lotus, Mount Kimbie, Stereolab, Yves Tumor, Cigarettes After Sex, Warhaus and Fontaines DC disappear from the services.
WARP only the music that belongs to him. There are tracks in the artists’ catalog published on other labels, they remained untouched.
Yandex.Music, VKontakte Music, Sound and WARP declined to comment.
According to the source of the publication in one of the Russian industrial streaming sites, WARP is a small label whose artists have a small audience in Russia. In addition, at present, renegotiating or renewing contracts with foreign rights holders takes much longer than usual. [Коммерсантъ]
