Russian Post launched a service for reading digitized newspapers and magazines

The app catalog already contains versions of some popular newspapers and magazines. Among them, “Expert”, “Amateur”, “Science and Life”, “Kommersant”, as well as scientific, children’s, medical and other thematic publications.

As explained by Maria Ogay, head of the Russian Post Subscription business development directorate, by 2023 it is planned to study user behavior and analyze the demand for posts from a particular address. After that, the catalog will expand and new features will be added.

Now, to use the application, you need to subscribe to the selected publication on the Russian Post website, and then log in to the application.

Currently, the organization does not enter into licensing agreements with publisher-clients of the Russian Postal Subscription Agency (PAPR) directly. Digitized versions of newspapers and magazines are received through LLC “Agency” Book-Service “”.

“The pilot should not be compared to a traditional print media subscription service, because there are now more than 6,000 indexes in PAPR,” said Maria Ogay.
