Recall that the issue of the ban on the activities of the Google video service in Russia came up again after the search giant blocked YouTube accounts of the Federation Council due to sanctions. As a result, more than 20,000 videos were removed.
Roskomnadzor responded with a request to restore access to Federation Council accounts. The regulator also described the platform’s actions as “an unprecedented act of censorship and a massive attempt to limit the information work of the Russian Federation state body.”
